Manuscript pages 97–99
Proverbs 18:21 (AMPC) “Death and life are in the power of the tongue…” The Hebrew word maveth (“death”) includes destruction, ruin, and calamity.
Self-destructive speech is one of the most dangerous forms of destruction.
Self-destructive words include:
- “I’m not enough.”
- “I’ll never succeed.”
- “I always mess up.”
- “Nothing ever works for me.”
- “I’m cursed.”
- “I’m alone.”
These are not statements , they are sentences.
They are verdicts spoken over one’s own life.
They create internal ruin.
The tongue as destroyer confronts us with a question:
What self-destructive patterns have I spoken over myself?
Self-Examination
1. Who have I wounded with my words?
2. What opportunities have I destroyed with my speech?
3. What unity have I damaged through conversation?
4. What self-destructive patterns have I spoken over myself?
5. What cycles have my words kept alive?
Let these questions confront you deeply.
Prayer Of Purification
Father, I repent for every destructive word I have spoken.
I repent for every relationship I damaged.
I repent for every destiny I sabotaged.
I repent for every unity I destroyed.
I repent for every self-destructive confession.
Break every destructive pattern.
Cancel every destructive agreement.
Uproot every destructive seed.
Silence every destructive voice.
Heal the wounds I caused.
Restore what was broken.
Rebuild what was torn down.
Renew what was damaged.
Make my mouth an instrument of healing, not destruction.
In Jesus’ name, amen.
Apostolic Charge
Your words can destroy, or they can heal.
Choose life.
Choose alignment.
Choose discipline.
Choose restoration.
Choose speech that builds rather than speech that breaks.
The next chapter will confront the tongue as a prophetic instrument, the dimension of speech that activates heaven and shifts spiritual realms.
