Your Words Create Covenant Pathways
Chapter 10: The Tongue as a Covenant Keeper
Read at your own pace. Pause, pray, and return to the teaching whenever you need.
Teaching by Andre’ D. Fullwood
Manuscript pages 118–120
Deuteronomy 23:23 (AMPC) “That which has gone out of your lips you shall keep and perform…” The Hebrew word asah (“perform”) means to carry out, fulfill, or complete.
Your lips create obligations heaven expects you to honor.
Your words create:
- covenant with God
- covenant with purpose
- covenant with destiny
- covenant with relationships
- covenant with assignments
But your words can also create:
- covenant with trauma
- covenant with fear
- covenant with bitterness
- covenant with shame
- covenant with sin
Your words create covenant pathways.
The tongue as covenant keeper confronts us with a question:
What covenant pathways must I break or rebuild?
Self-Examination
1. What vows have I spoken that I have not fulfilled?
2. What agreements have I made with my words?
3. What spiritual contracts have I unknowingly signed?
4. What covenants have I formed with fear, shame, or trauma?
5. What covenant pathways must be broken or rebuilt?
Prayer Of Purification
Father, I repent for every vow I broke.
I repent for every covenant I violated.
I repent for every ungodly agreement I made.
I repent for every destructive contract I signed with my words.
Break every ungodly covenant.
Cancel every destructive contract.
Renounce every agreement with fear, shame, trauma, and sin.
Overturn every vow that did not come from You.
Establish new covenants in my mouth , covenants of truth, destiny, purpose, and righteousness.
Make my words covenant keepers, not covenant breakers.
In Jesus’ name, amen.
Apostolic Charge
Your words create covenants.
Speak with intention.
Speak with integrity.
Speak with alignment.
Speak with covenant consciousness.
The next chapter will confront the tongue as a witness to the dimension of speech that testifies in the courts of heaven.
