Your Words Are Judgments
Chapter 4: The Tongue as a Judge

Teaching by Andre’ D. Fullwood
Manuscript pages 71–72
Proverbs 6:2 (AMPC) “You are snared with the words of your lips; you are caught by the speech of your mouth.”
Words do not only witness , they judge.
Every time you speak, you are passing judgment:
- on yourself
- on your future
- on your relationships
- on your destiny
The Hebrew word yāqaš (“snared”) means trapped, bound, imprisoned.
This reveals a profound truth:
Your words can imprison you.
Many believers are living under sentences they spoke over themselves:
- “I’ll never change.”
- “I’m always alone.”
- “Nothing ever works for me.”
- “This is just who I am.”
- “I can’t do this.”
These are not statements , they are verdicts.
They are judgments spoken over one’s own life.
The tongue as judge confronts us with a question:
What verdicts have I spoken over my own life?
