Genesis 1 (AMPC) In Genesis 1, God does not negotiate with darkness.
He does not describe the darkness.
He does not complain about the darkness.
He commands light.
The Hebrew word tsavah (“command”) means:
- to appoint
- to charge
- to order
- to release divine instruction
Creation responds to command, not complaint.
Many believers spend years describing their darkness instead of commanding their light. They narrate their pain rather than summon their healing. They articulate their confusion rather than declare their order.
Your words carry authority when aligned with God’s will.
You can command:
- peace into chaos
- healing into sickness
- order into confusion
- provision for the lack
- strength into weakness
The tongue as command confronts us with a question:
What realities have I been commanding or refusing to command?
